I got a call from our friend Jason the other day. A rumour was circulating that Top Gear were filming at Duxford and would be at a local pub to do a feature on Alfa Romeos. Alfie, Jason and I hot footed it over, parked up and were walking to the pub when we spotted an old (F plate) Alfa 75 which looked rather the worse for wear. Just as we were joking that they would not be road testing something like that we realised that Jeremy Clarkson was in the driving seat. As we walked into the carpark we saw Richard Hammond and James May climbing into equally ropey old Alfas and heading out of town. We hung around for a while (the time it took to drink a quick pint) but then were told that the pub was too busy so we headed home.
